WE LOVE COMING TO WORK EVERY DAY AND SEEING THE PURE JOY THAT DOGS BRING TO OUR LIVES. THE TEAM AT WOOKIE DOGS WELCOMES YOU WITH OPEN PAWS

It All Started As A Dream

Wookie Dogs started in 2018 from a strong passion to work with and learn as much as much as possible about dogs. Over the years working with many people in the industry and learning as much as we can our goal is to offer supportive services that can help all dog owners and their dogs live their best lives.

We currently own a stunning 6-acre property in the heart of the Swan Valley where we offer a one-of-a-kind daycare for social dogs with a strong focus on confidence and social neutrality, Private Hire for dogs who wish to explore our beautiful property without the risk of other dogs or people ruining the fun and a range of high-quality gear to help you and your friend experience the world in a fun and safe manner.

From little things big things grow and as a family-based business, we believe in the little things that have helped us grow into the who we are today!

Our journey started with a special rescue called Tidus. He was highly fearful and needed some help to learn that the world was a beautiful place to explore and with a little understanding and a lot of training, he began to come out of his shell and enjoy all the world had to offer him. He is living it up as a spoilt senior these days and doesn’t get up to as much anymore but his legacy lives on through a found passion to work with more and more dogs helping them explore and experience the world in a safe and enjoyable manner. We started offering at first solo dog walking and eventually grew to offer pack walks, taking countless dogs on amazing hiking trails around Perth. We worked alongside countless trainers, veterinarians, and other amazing industry professionals to learn as much as possible on our journey and still to this day work with some amazing individuals constantly expanding our knowledge to better help all dogs in our care.

In 2020 as we all know, the world came to a halt when COVID-19 hit. We found it hard to continue our walks as we struggled with so much change in the world so we started looking at how to adapt Wookie Dogs to tackle this.

We spent a few months on the hunt for the perfect location and tucked away in the heart of the Swan Valley, we found it. A stunning little location, run down and dried up but saw the potential it had. When we say we are a family-run business, we truly mean it. The whole family pitched in with a shoestring budget and our farming background and we soon turned our little corner of the world into the stunning Wookie Dogs Adventure Playground that we all know and love today.

Wookie Dogs is growing into a household name helping dogs from our own backyard here in Perth with daycare services and safe spaces to let your dogs explore and roam overseas with our high-quality equipment to help people feel confident and safe taking their furry friends out to live their best lives

Meet Our Team

Beth

Beth Cassells

Beth Officially started Wookie Dogs in 2018 after volunteering in the industry for many years learning everything she could about dog behaviour and training, to this day she is still taking every opportunity to learn to make Wookie Dogs the best it can be.

A passionate lover of all animals having owned both dogs and cats over the years, she strives to treat all like her own and give them the best life possible.

Tidus

Tidus

Tidus is our Wookie Dogs founding Dog. Tidus was adopted from the RSPCA in 2016, found abandoned on the side of the road and taken to the pound when no one claimed him.

He had some behavioural issues but together with Beth his new owner, they embarked on a journey to grow together learning how to help Tidus be the best he could be and live life to the fullest which in turn led to the creation of Wookie Dogs.

His part to play is immortalized in our Wookie Dogs Logo.

Tuesday

Tuesday is a 2-year-old Belgian Shepherd who taught Beth that even though she had years of knowledge and experience under her belt there is always more to learn! Tuesday was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease at an early age and was muzzle-trained to help prevent him from eating things that could cause a flare-up and to keep everyone safe when he is not feeling well.

Tuesday is at the forefront of the Muzzle Movement advocating for the use of muzzles in our society and helping to battle the negative image muzzles often have.
